The course is nice and in good shape, but could play drier and could stand to lose a few trees in some spots to help the turf. I migrated to Riverside because, while it's no Rock Creek, it's still highly affordable relative to other courses. If you're looking at Columbia and Riverside, you might as well toss Royal Oaks in, which is arguably as good or better than Edgewater and significantly better than Riverside. They did have a fitness center, which my wife would like, and their initiation fees were reasonable. I have friends who are members at the clubs you listed. The clubhouse and the overall setting on the river are outstanding, and their driving range is probably the best in Portland.
